About Us

We created this site to help where we would have needed when we sold our first home in 2014. This is our story…

•We agreed to market our home for a higher list price based on estate agent valuation.

•3 sales then fell through, and with each one we gradually reduced our asking price.

•Eventually, sold for less than we paid 18 months later.

•Left with no extra equity, it was as though we had just rented the property.

•This is where the story gets interesting. Our buyer resold the property 2 years on…. and they had achieved that elusive 15% price increase with their sale!

The changes to the house were not expensive extensions, but some repainting, a new carpet in the bedroom and a small wall being knocked down. Why had we not thought of doing that? And why did no-one tell us? Where was our property sales experts when we needed them?

What we learned

We now understand the importance of sprucing up the home and making the house a show-home before a sale, and we would not make this mistake again. Taking some small steps and spending a little time and money can give you a much bigger pay off when you are looking to sell.

By sharing pictures and videos of your home with potential buyers in your market, we can gather feedback to see what they really think of your property, what might put them off and what they would love to see to be keen to buy.
